About Severn Stone & Resin

Severn Stone & Resin installs resin-bound driveways, paths and parking areas for homes in and around Worcester. We are not a paving company that also offers resin — resin-bound surfacing is what we specialise in, and the groundwork that goes underneath it.

How we work

• We come and look before we price. Photographs are useful, but levels, drainage and base condition need seeing in person.
• We explain what we would do and why, including where a cheaper option would be perfectly adequate.
• We put the quote in writing, itemised, so you can compare it fairly with anyone else’s.
• We prepare the base properly, because that is what decides how the surface behaves in years to come.

Why Worcester homes need thinking about

Housing here is mixed. Streets near the older parts of the city have narrow frontages, raised ground levels and drives that have been patched over decades. Newer estates on the edges have uniform bases that are often still sound. The right approach on one is the wrong approach on the other, which is why we do not work to a standard specification.

Drainage gets more attention here than it might elsewhere. Water has to go somewhere sensible, and on a lot of frontages that means a channel drain or a border soakaway rather than letting it find its own way.

What we don’t do
